High Voltage Band Biogs
|
<<
Andy Dunt – Vocals <<
Clearly the star of the show Andy has been singing in rock
bands on a semi-professional basis for more years than he cares
to remember. Handling the different vocal styles of both Bon Scott and Brian
Johnson with equal ease his dynamic stage presence demands
attention. The comparably excellent vocals complete the picture
of this extrovert frontman.

>>
Jon Miller – Lead Guitar >>
Jon is a professional guitar technician who has spent the past
17 years working with Gibson, Rickenbacker and Epiphone guitars.
His technical position with the UK’s sole Gibson importer means that pretty much every Gibson guitar that
comes into the country passes through his hands. Little wonder then that he
knows his way round an SG so well that to hear him play you would think that
Angus himself had joined the band. As an avid AC/DC fan his 24 years playing
experience, including a good deal of session work, makes him an irreplaceable.member
of this band.

<<
John Lovegrove – Rhythm Guitar <<
A hugely experienced professional, John’s background
includes involvement in production and engineering of recordings
for the likes of The Stereophonics and Killing Joke. More recently
his work as a stage technician has taken him on tour with Black
Sabbath, Oasis, Janet Jackson and most importantly with AC/DC
themselves. This background, together with well over twenty years of playing
guitar in his own right, makes John a hugely valued part of this tribute band.

>>
Jon Davey – Bass >>
Semi-professional musician with the experience of close on
a thousand gigs in local and regional venues over a twenty
year playing career. Jon’s deep
rooted playing style provides that fat bass sound essential for the AC/DC
experience.

<<
Kevin Woodard – Drums <<
Kevin Woodard picked up the sticks at 9 and has played drums professionally for
the last 17 years spending time teaching and playing sessions from Death Metal
to Christian Rock! Having bought 'If You Want Blood' as a kid, because he liked
the gory cover, his life was changed forever. Not long after this he went to
his first rock concert - AC/DC on the 'Back In Black' tour which was in an
Airport hanger in Paris! (Whitesnake were support) He has never forgoten this
mind blowing night and AC/DC have remained his favourite band to this day.
Last year he decided to put some time aside to play music that influenced him
so much as a kid and so on a beer fueled night out with the two Jons an idea
for an AC/DC tribute was born. Their other playing commitments do not allow
them to meet up to play as High Voltage very often but when they do it is something
he takes very seriously and really looks forward to.
